Germany is under E. Coli attack. The number of people killed has increased in past one week and hundreds are left sickened. Spanish cucumbers have been speculated as the source for E. Coli bacteria. Germany has banned the import of Cucumbers from Spain and other European nations have followed the suite. This has certainly increased the rift between Spain and Germany.
Facts in favour of Spain:
- The source of E. Coli is not yet confirmed 100%. Russian researchers have speculated that the source could be Spinach or other salad.
- No. of cases of E. Coli infection reported in Spain - Zero
- 39 cases of E. Coli infection reported in Sweden – All have visited Germany in recent past.
At the time when Spain is trying hard to bring back its economy on track and at the time when the whole world is betting on Spain to crumble next, will Spain be able to come out of this crisis?
